Man Up Marshawn

Here's the update, it has now been almost 1 1/2 weeks since the hit and run involving Marshawn Lynch's truck. Still holding to his silence, his lawyer tried yesterday to work out a deal with the District Attorney's office. Michael Caffery, Lynch's attorney met with members of the DA's staff for 5 minutes. According to Frank Clark, they wanted a precondition to his disclosing the information. The DA said that deal would not happen.

As this case continues to linger on and Marshawn continues to remain silent, his character starts to come into question. I mean, his truck actually hit a human being... yet he remains silent. I know it's his right, but how about doing the RIGHT thing.

Man Up Marshawn, and tell your side! Stop hiding behind your Bills helmet thinking this will all go away. What if it was someone in your family that was hit by someone else's vehicle? I'm sure you would want answers. If you weren't driving the truck, you know who was. Do the right thing.

I am a bills fan who wants to win games. Marshawn gives us the best chance to win.

However, I believe that playing in the NFL is a priveledge, not a right. These guys get paid millions to do a job that millions of children and adults alike only dream of doing. Forget being role models, they live a life that most of us dream of. No worries, no financial difficulty, all at our expense.

I am so tired of bills fans, and fans in general feeling like they have to defend these grown men for their problems. They are old enough to make decissions and the pay the consequences like the rest of us.

If Lynch was the driver, I fully support a suspension. If he has information and was in the vehicle, he also deserves a suspension. Either way, he should not be playing opening day. Win or lose, that is the right consequence for his actions. Regardless if he mans up now or later.

Excellent opinion piece, Robin. I totally agree with you...I responded to your previous post on this, and my opinion of Mr. Lynch has only gotten worse...and it was pretty bad when I responded before.

Mr. Lynch is scum. He probably did something very bad, and he absolutely is obstructing justice as you said. I know the Bills won't cut him, and I'm sure he'll slime his way through the legal system.

But there still is hope with the commissioner, who has had reputation of punishing scumbags like Mr. Lynch. I hope Mr. Lynch gets a minimum 8 game suspension. I'm a big Bills fan, and I passionately watch almost every Bills game, wanting them to win. But it really will suck having a slimeball like Mr. Lynch representing our team and our city. The longer the suspension, the better..it's less I have to see of this jerk.

i am not going to bad mouth lynch but lets get to playing football. when this story first hit i looked to see lynch come forth with his attorney but it didn't happen. now its taking up to much space. if you weren't driving talked to was and lets get a deal for them and get this out the way. the longer it takes to settle this the harder its going to take fans to forgive. we love our football team and players but don't take us for granted. DO THE RIGHT THING.
