Mixed Martial Arts on CBS
Mixed martial arts makes its network TV debut on Saturday. It airs on CBS from 9-11pm. I'll admit that I don't know much about the sport. I do know its popular, some say now more than boxing. What is the appeal? Is it just for the young male demographic, or is it more widespread?
Give me some feedback on the sport, and why you like it. Based on what we hear, we'll make a decision whether to show it on our sportscast. Does Kimbo Slice (left) deserve some of our valuable time? Let me hear from you, MMA fans.

That tells you all you need to know about this nonsense.
I'm surprized that just a few years ago CBS did not renew it's contract with the NHL citing "Too Much Fighting and violence!" Now the powers that be at CBS have decided to show one of the most archaic forms of fighting, MMA. This is no more than organized street fighting.
My opinion is that it does NOT belong on Network TV and most certainly does not warrent any recognition on ANY sports show, local or national.
Is this a real sport??
