NFL Schedule Released Tomorrow
The NFL will release its' 2008 regular season schedule tomorrow at 2pm. And it's safe to say it's news that Bills fans will be particularly interested in this year. That's because one Bills regular season game will be played in Toronto, as part of the agreement the team made with Canadian interests earlier this year.
Look for the Bills game at the Rogers Centre to be late in the season, most likely in December, after the CFL season is completed. Other than that, it'll be interesting to see if the NFL schedule makers look to put a "marquee" opponent in the game against the Bills, or if they feel the game will sell itself. Bills sources tell us they have had very little, if no, input into the scheduling of their Toronto opponent, it's been totally controlled by the NFL.
The Bills may also merit a nationally televised prime time game in the upcoming season, based on their 2007 record and the general perception that they're a team on the rise.
Again, the schedule comes out at 2pm Tuesday, April 15th. We'll have details on News 4 Sports.

Moving the Miami game, the one time the Bills greatest divisional rival would otherwise play in Buffalo is ridiculous. Would the Red Sox or Yankees play each other at the annual Hall of Fame game? Would the Leafs and Canadians play at Hamilton? Its one thing to market yourself outside of the city by playing a game in Toronto. Its another things to leave loyal Bills fans with the 49ers and take away a Miami game.
I find it hard to believe that the Bills have little input on their schedule. For years, we did not have night games at the request of local officials. And then after much complaining by the Bills and local politicians about poor match ups in poor weather months, the Bills played the likes of the Cowboys and Giants at home late in the year.

Also, the schedule is strange in that the Bills have two stretches of almost a month in which they do not play a true home game (Sept. 21 - Oct. 18) and (Dec. 1 - Dec. 27)
