Where the Sabres Stand

With a shoot-out win for the Rangers, the Bruins also picked up a point. That means the Rangers head into tomorrow night's game with the Sabres 7 points ahead of them in the 6th spot. The Bruins are 6 points ahead of the Sabres in the 7th spot. Philadelphia had the day off, so the Sabres remain 4 points back from the Flyers in the 9th spot. With 13 games to go for the Sabres the playoff picture is starting to sort itself out. Unless the Rangers and Bruins completely fall apart, the Sabres only hope is starting to look like the 8th and final spot. That means they need the Flyers to drop a couple of games because it's hard to imagine this Sabres team can string together enough wins to do this on their own. It starts with the Rangers, and the rest of their schedule isn't any easier. They have Pittsburgh, Carolina, 3 games against the Leafs, Tampa, 2 against Ottawa, Montreal and Boston. Your thoughts?
