Sabres barely hanging on

Oh those points that they let slip away! The Sabres can look back at "the ones" that got away, but it won't do them much good now. They left for Toronto this morning after an optional skate at HSBC arena. They won't return to Buffalo until Sunday, when they will be cleaning out their lockers or on the slim of chance getting ready for the playoffs to begin. It's hard to have hope with this team, as they tend to pull you in like they did on Sunday. They make you believe in them, but only for a moment. Now fans must sit back and hope that they can reel off 3 straight wins. I'm not sure I have that much belief in them, but I guess you never know. The problem is, they've put themselves in a position where just winning out isn't good enough. They need other teams to lose, and while there are many scenarios since Philly, Boston, and the Rangers are tied with 91 points.. I am almost more interested in their games on Wednesday and Thursday. It is pretty crazy to see just how tight the standings are in the final week of the regular season. Look at Ottawa, they have 92 points. The best in the East at the beginning of the season, could miss the playoffs. Not likely, but it is possible.
