Old Bills in New Places

Two free agent Bills have new homes. Tight End Michael Gaines is now a Detroit Lion. He gets a 4 year deal worth $10 million. Remember, he was on the street at the beginning of the season, and signed by the Bills when Kevin Everett was hurt. It leaves the Bills with just Robert Royal, Derek Schouman and Teyo Johnson on the current roster at tight end. Look for that to be addressed in free agency or the draft.
Receiver and special teams ace Sam Aiken is joining the Patriots. He'll likely focus on special teams there too, although New England is currently down a wideout due to the departure of Donte' Stallworth. Randy Moss is set to re-sign.
So the Bills core special teams players..Aiken, Coy Wire, Mario Haggan, Josh Stamer...are either gone or still free agents. Looks like Bobby April will have his work cut out for his this season.
