Bills Make Roster Cuts

No real surprises among the Bills four roster cuts Wednesday. RB Anthony Thomas had been replaced as the main backup by Fred Jackson. Although he's a favorite of Dick Jauron, Thomas's future was in doubt due to the emergence of Jackson and the drafting of Dwayne Wright.
Coy Wire missed nine games last year, and it appears his neck injury could be serious. BuffaloBills.com says Wire failed his physical due to that injury, and that's why he was cut. His loss could be felt on special teams, where the Bills could also lose veterans Mario Haggan, Josh Stamer and Sam Aiken. All three are unrestricted free agents.
Jeremetrius Butler was signed when the Bills had a rash of cornerback injuries. With Jabari Greer, Terrence McGee, Ashton Youboty and Kiwaukee Thomas all returning, there wasn't any more room.
Aaron Merz, a backup center, was out all of last year with a shoulder injury.
Not that the team needed a lot more cap space, but these moves do save space. Its believed the Bills are already at least $20 million under the cap.

Are there any chances on the Bills going after Crumpler? I think he would be a real weapon for Edwards.

no matter what sport, no matter how many players that are NOT from buffalo come into buffalo to play, it's ALWAYS the SAME STATEMENT BEFORE THEY LEAVE, which ALWAYS BEGINS WITH-- "well, i really don't want to leave buffalo, BUT---", and that is followed usually by something like--"but they won't pay all the money in the world--they won't bankrupt themselves to make me rich and retire after i turn 26-- i want to play where the money is"--and all of buffalo keeps hoping these non-buffalonians will suddenly decide to play for pretty much NOTHING--these people have shown buffalo time and again their "true colors", they've shown buffalo what they're REALLY "loyal" to-- AND IT'S NOT BUFFALO!!!!--MEANWHILE--there are TONS OF TALENTED HIGH-SCHOOL/COLLEGE ATHLETES FROM BUFFALO/W.N.Y. who DREAM about playing for buffalo--only to be pooh-poohed by owners(NOT FROM BUFFALO, BY THE WAY)who only think with their wallets. they and buffalo keep trying to buy loyalty when you SHOULD BE MANUFACTURING IT NATURALLY IN YOUR OWN BACKYARD SO THAT BUFFALO CAN REAP THE REWARDS BY HAVING THEM PLAY FOR BUFFALO.
about Jehuu Caulcrick:
there was an article in the buffalo news on monday, feb 25, in which Jehuu Caulcrick practically BEGGED ralph wilson to sign him up, and all they could say was that "running back was not a pressing need". what they really mean is that a "buffalo" player is not a pressing need. he's TALENTED. HE MADE IT TO AN NFL COMBINE. HE WANTS TO PLAY FOR BUFFALO. HE'S FROM THE BUFFALO/W.N.Y. AREA-- AND buffalo SAYS NO. maybe if they got rid of some of that excess baggage they call pro football players that might free up some more cap money so that they COULD SIGN HIM UP. but, maybe that's just too much to hope for. let him help another poor slob of a city win a super bowl. what does buffalo need with a championship anyway? they'd probably sell it for another city, anyway.

go bills-----and take the sabres with you.

AND WHILE I'M ON THE SUBJECT:

what about university at buffalo center JAMEY RICHARD? what's the matter? having TALENTED PLAYERS FROM BUFFALO WON'T WORK IN BUFFALO? what do they have--COOTIES? why don't you tell their FAMILIES that? i'm sure they'd be happy to move to another city to support their TALENTED CHILD FROM THE BUFFALO/W.N.Y. AREA. THE SAME FOR THE CAULCRICK FAMILY.
